8 Hour Infection Control Class for the DA |
This is a 8 hour hands-on course in infection control which is required for any Dental Assistant employed on or after January 2010. All the lectures will be online in a virtual classroom. Lectures must be completed prior to attendance in the hands-on clinical session. The clinical portion of the course will occur at the Sacramento City College campus. Who must complete this course The employer of a dental assistant shall be responsible for ensuring that the dental assistant who has been in continuous employment for 120 days or more, has already successfully completed, or successfully completes, ) A board-approved 8 hour course in infection control. All individuals applying to become and RDA must also complete this requirement regardless of their year of employment. All individuals who have changed employment as a DA since January 2010 regardless of their years of experience must also complete this course. |
